Not childcare with a TV in the corner — an afternoon in a real STEAM lab. Pickup from school, quiet Focus Time, one instructor-led project, and then the stations are theirs: 3D printers, a robotics arena, game design, a wall that builds.
Most of the afternoon is theirs — any station, their project, help when they want it.
45–60 minutes, instructor-led, everyone building together. The day's letter sets the theme.
Snack first, then a quiet block with help on hand — homework, reading, a book from our shelves.

We collect your child from school — in our own vehicle or with a vetted partner service, always a background-checked driver. Included in the all-inclusive rate.
Bambu Lab and FlashForge 3D printers, robotics kits, a circuit bench and a games studio — used daily, not shown off at open evenings.
Every afternoon: a snack, quiet Focus Time with help on hand for homework and reading, then the day's STEAM hour.
Not a room with forty children in it. Small enough that an instructor sees every build, and every child gets the hard thing that fits them.
Teacher days and school breaks are when childcare gets hardest. Our camps run then — and every enrolled family gets a personal code for 20% off camp weeks, valid 10 months from the day you join. Our camps run from age 4.

Every afternoon has one instructor-led hour, and the day of the week decides what it's about. Science on Monday through Math on Friday — five letters, five very different hours.

Two routes come with any weekly place: a supervised walking group from the nearest school, and a greeted drop-off if your school's bus stops in front of our Magnolia lab. For Catharine Blaine K-8 we also run a door-to-door van — that comes with the all-inclusive place, and seats are limited by the van. Tell us which school your child attends and we'll say exactly how they'd get here.
No. The walking group and the bus greeting are included with any weekly place, and the Blaine van is part of the all-inclusive rate rather than a separate charge. There is no pickup fee to add at checkout.
No — a drop-in day is a complete drop-in: you bring your child to the lab after school and collect them by 6:00 PM. School pickup, including the walking group, comes with the weekly places only.
We'd like to. We don't yet run a van to schools other than Catharine Blaine, so call or write with your school's name and we'll talk through what works today and what we could add.
We collect children when their school lets out — there's no single start time, because dismissal differs by school and by weekday — and the lab closes at 6:00 PM.
Monday to Friday, following the Seattle Public Schools calendar. When school is closed we run camp weeks instead, and enrolled families get a discount on those.
We bring robotics, coding and game design onto school campuses two ways — our instructors run it, or Lab in a Box lets your own team run it.
